“…search the Scriptures…it is they that bear witness about me…” John 5 verse 39
During the Covid-19 pandemic Jelly Tots, our Mother and Toddler club, has been closed. It is with great regret that we have to tell you that it will not be reopening. We have taken the decision to close it as, due to age and health, the current staff are no longer able to continue with the work. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be able to provide fresh workers to continue the ministry of this meeting. If our church situation changes it may be possible that a Mother and Toddler Club will start afresh but that does not appear to be likely in the foreseeable future.
The closure marks the end of an era, for Jelly Tots has been providing a service to the community since 1998. During those years many children have spent many happy hours on Wednesday mornings before going on to nurseries or primary schools.
The present team have enjoyed working with the Mums (and Dads!) and Carers and the children they have brought with them. We believe that the sessions each week have fulfilled an important role in the children’s lives and development and also provided a happy occasion for the adults to socialize with one another. As for the team, we all count it a privilege to have known each one of you and to serve you in some small way. We shall miss meeting with you and our prayer is, as it has always been, that you and your families may not only have happy and fulfilling lives but come to know the reality of God’s love in a personal relationship with him.
